Dear Friends and Members,
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Bogotá, I would like to thank everyone for their support and participation in our different events last year. 
We had some great events last year: Our golf tournaments at San Andres Golf Club and Rincon Golf Club, our Gala Dinner Dance where we not only had a great crowd but were able to welcome our new ambassador, William Brownfield.
These events allowed us to raise enough funds to pay out over 75 million pesos for more than 110 underprivileged children we currently support in our scholarship program. I would also like to extend a special thanks to Occidental of Colombia and their employees who support over 35 students under scholarship.

Thank you to Ambassador William Brownfield, our Honorary President, for his generous support and the new energy he brings to our organization. We look forward to seeing you at our events and hope you are able to meet new people in the wonderful city of Bogota through our various activities.

Dear Friends and Members,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Bogotá, I would like to thank everyone for their support and participation in our different events last year. 

Despite the heavy rains throughout 2006, we were able to organize our golf tournaments at Carmel Golf Club and Payande Golf Club.  We also had a great black tie dinner dance with a full house in late October at the US Embassy residence.  As usual, the Easter Egg Hunt and the July 4th picnic were a success.

Through our scholarship program and your generous support, we helped 117 underprivileged students with their education last year and saw 11 students graduate from High School.  This year, 2007, we start with 106 students and expect to increase to 125 with your continued support. 

I would also like to extend a special thanks to Occidental of Colombia and their employees whose support 45 of the 106 students under scholarship.
